A veteran school leader and a highly experienced educator, Raymond Lemoine has thirty + years of experience working in education, including 14 of those years internationally serving as teacher, director and head of school in Germany, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Africa and China.
During his career, Dr. Lemoine has led many change projects. He’s overseen the building of a new school campus as well as the construction of additions to existing campuses. He has led one of his schools to implement IBDP (IB high school) and MYIB programs and during these processes, he has developed numerous strategic plans and marketed his new IB school programs to establish strong reputations and grow enrollment.
Dr. Lemoine’s recent accomplishments include spearheading the creation of a Global Perspective course that was subsequently approved by the British Columbia Ministry of Education and has become a credited component in the province’s Graduation Program.
Global Perspective enables students to explore the concept of “development”, while expanding their knowledge of other countries and grappling with global issues and development inequities. The final component of the course entails a humanitarian trip to Africa with 30 students, bringing $80,000 of aid invested in sustainable development projects developed by joint consultation in the areas of education, health care, and family/micro-economics.
Dr. Lemoine also traveled to China in 2007 with the purpose of producing Forgotten Holocaust; a film that sheds light on the 30 million people who died in China during the Asia-Pacific theatre that lasted from 1931 to 1945. The very successful documentary is presently available as a learning resource with the British Columbia Ministry of Education, and also can be found on YouTube.
Raymond Lemoine originates from the Province of Manitoba in Central Canada. When not working internationally, Dr. Lemoine resides in Port Moody, British Columbia with his wife of 30+ years, Madeleine. They are proud parents of two grown-up children.
