BCISB - The Best Little School in Thailand !

The British Columbia International School, Bangkok, is a small dynamic organization, which is located near the Tharnpanya School in Bangwa. The school currently enrolls 50 students in grades 7 through grade 12, and has seven highly qualified staff, that brings a wide variety of instructional experience to our school program.

BCISB offers a demanding academic program of studies grounded in the highly regarded High School curriculum, approved by Govenment of Brtiish Columbia, in Canada. The Province of British Columbia has become well known for its curriculum development, which has consistently helped students to attanined outstanding ratings on a number of International tests. These premier results come from both Public and Private school students.

Currently, we are stressing a solid program of English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Personal Planning and Health; and Thai Language and Culture, which is our core instructional program. We also offer two electve classes in Art and Music. As we expand our faciliities we will be able to offer a greater range of elelctives for students to choose. Our small school does not have alot of formal extra-curricular events for students, but we do provide a range of staff student events that share healthy physical activitiy, coupled with challenging events designed to delop strong social ties between students and staff.

Our staff enjoys a special relationship with their students, which helps to foster trust, respect, and the attainment of measurable success. Our teachers believe that students self esteem comes from working hard and achieving personal goals.

BCISB's special emphasis, or Mission, is to have our graduates able to successfully continue their postt-secondary education in British Columbia - in English.

Currently, we are housed in a brand new large modern facility that contains almost fifty classrooms including, science labs, library, theatre and other instructional space. A full-service cafeteria is a popular addition to the school. Future BCISB building projects will include student dormitories, a gymnasium-fitness center, and a swimming.

BCISB intends to become a premier scholastic private school, whose goal is to produce well educated students who can positively contribute their skills and talent in two languages, Thai and English.
